Very clean hotel with a dedicated staff and a complimentary breakfast. The room was warm and with a lovely view. The property was a nice place for enjoying a mountain area. I loved the hotel!

The wait staff was very nice and the young man in the pool shop was too. We ate breakfast twice at the SweetFire restaurant and supper at the Mexican restaurant. Both were good.
When we checked out I asked for a print out of our charges. There were charges for hotel leisure fees amounting to $34 per day plus tax, which raised it to $40 per day. I was told the leisure fee was for using the pool, weight room and shuttle. These fees brought up the hotel cost $40 more a night. I wanted to stay at La Cantera because I was taking my daughter and granddaughters to Fiesta Tx. and I wanted it to be special. We have stayed at The Hyatt and other hotels in San Antonio. I have never heard of a hotel leisure fee. I believe this is a deceitful practice and we will never stay at La Cantera again, and if anyone asks me about it I will tell them, which has already come up in conversations.
